FULL GRID! GRAFE RACING LINES UP RAFAEL, GUSTAVO AND FELIPE FOR THE 1ST BATTLE OF THE SEASON 🏁
Hey there, speed family!
July 10, 2025 marked a historic chapter for GRAFE Racing: for the first time, the three founders – Rafael Silva, Gustavo Cavaller and Felipe Antunes – officially entered the grid of the amateur championship, ready to represent our passion for karting.
The adrenaline was pumping, the learning was immense, and the results brought great motivation. Check out the account of our first stage, told from each driver's perspective!
The Official Beginning: Rafael Silva's Vision:
For Rafael, this wasn't just another race; it marked his official start in an amateur karting championship. The joy of being there, side by side with high-level drivers, overcame any nervousness.
"The emotion of being on the grid is indescribable. It was challenging, but every meter of track is a kilometer added to my resume. I feel I've improved a lot in this stage." — Rafael Silva
Hard work and focus yielded immediate results:
Best Lap Time: 01:09.227
Final Position: P21 de 28 pilotos
The Great Overcoming: Rafael managed to reduce his time by more than 1 second compared to the last race (compared to the previous 01:10.391)! This improvement proves that his dedication is on the right track.
Knowledge and Speed: The Performance of Gustavo Cavaller:
Gustavo approached the race with a clear objective: to learn the track thoroughly and improve his time. He not only achieved his goal, but also represented GRAFE Racing in the elite group of the 70 kg Novice category.
Best Lap Time: 01:06.357
Final Position: P10 out of 28 drivers
Highlight: Finishing in P10 on such a competitive grid (full of "amateur" drivers who look like professionals!) is an incredible result and positions Gustavo as a strong contender for the championship. His lap time of 01:06.357 demonstrates speed and consistency on the track.
Baptism of Fire: The Pressure of Felipe Antunes:
Felipe had his baptism of fire! In his first official race, he didn't compete in the Novice category, but rather in the Lightweight 70 Kg category, a category that often brings together more experienced drivers with more track time.
The challenge was immense, the pressure was real, but he didn't back down. He stayed on the track, managed his pace, and completed the race, gaining valuable experience against more seasoned competitors.
Final Position: P21 out of 23 drivers
The Learning Experience: Racing against experienced drivers is the best school for those seeking improvement. The experience served to raise the bar and demonstrate the level of dedication needed to compete in the most advanced categories.
